Individual Therapy Process

_

PHASE 1Engagement

In this phase, the therapist conducts an initial assessment to understand the client's presenting issues, history, and goals for therapy. The client Begins to build trust and establish a solid therapeutic relationship with your therapist, which is crucial to the therapeutic outcome. Together, the therapist and client identify specific, measurable goals for therapy.
_

PHASE 2Identification

In this phase, the therapist and client work collaboratively to explore underlying issues, patterns of thinking, and behaviors contributing to the client's difficulties.
Therapeutic interventions are employed to help the client develop coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and healthier ways of thinking and behaving. The client learns to identify, tolerate, and express their emotions in a constructive manner.
_

PHASE 3Resolution/Action

Building on insights gained and skills developed in the middle phase, the client takes active steps to make meaningful changes in their life. This may involve setting boundaries, making decisions, confronting fears, or engaging in new behaviors aligned with their therapeutic goals. Relapse prevention is addressed. The client and therapist collaboratively identify potential triggers and develop strategies to prevent relapse or setbacks.
_

PHASE 4Termination and Follow-Up

As therapy nears completion, the therapist and client review the progress made, goals achieved, and insights gained throughout the therapeutic process. The focus shifts towards consolidating gains and integrating therapeutic work into the client's daily life. Depending on the client's needs and preferences, follow-up sessions may be scheduled to monitor progress and provide additional support.
